Downtown Street Resurfacing Program

The Downtown Rehabilitation program will repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curb and gutter, plus install ADA compliant curb ramps on select streets. It also includes new asphalt roadways and pavement markings.
Areas in red on the map have completed their concrete rehabilitation and will be milled and resurfaced with asphalt beginning in April 2022.
Streets marked in blue will begin concrete rehabilitation this year. Rehabilitation will include sidewalks and curb ramp removal and replacements. This work is being completed this year prior to the resurfacing of the asphalt in the following year.
Construction milling and overlaying will begin May 9 in the Northeast red area of the project and is scheduled to last three weeks. Once that area is complete the milling and overlaying will move to the Southeast red area.
May Project Update
Streets of Elm, Terry, Pecan, Grove, and Jones have been milled and overlaid in May. Contractor will continue to mill and overlay areas the NE and SE sections in June. ADA ramp work has started on 7th street and Fournier working back towards downtown.
