Found Kittens

To ensure the best care and outcome for kittens, it's important to assess if they're orphaned or if Mom is nearby, tending to them or hunting. If the mother is present, it's best to let her continue caring for her babies until they're at least 8 weeks old.

Once they reach the appropriate age, these kittens can be spayed/neutered through TNR programs to prevent further reproduction within the community.

However, if kittens are permanently separated from their moms, it's crucial to provide them with timely and appropriate care.

If you’re willing to care for kittens until they’re 8 weeks old (or weigh at least 2 pounds) and can be fixed for adoption, email FWACCfoster@fortworthtexas.gov to find out about about joining our amazing foster program.
