Aviation

City Attorney's Office

The City Attorney’s Office provides transactional and advisory services as general counsel, and provides litigation services to the eleventh largest city in the nation, handling the bulk of lawsuits in-house.

City Manager's Office

The City Manager’s Office is made up of non-political employees managed by the City Manager, who is appointed by the City Council.

City Secretary's Office

Provides residents with information on formal actions of the City Council; meeting dates, times and places; election data; ordinances, contracts, and other official city documents.

Code Compliance

The Code Compliance Department oversees the welfare and care of our City shelter pets (Animal Care & Control) and regulates compliance with City ordinances to protect the well-being of our residents and four-legged friends (Code Enforcement).

Communications & Public Engagement

Provides effective, accurate and timely information, as well as ways to share thoughts and concerns with city employees, department leaders, and elected officials. Media Relations, Community Engagement, Fort Worth Television, Customer Care, Website Management and Volunteer Programs.

The Fort Worth Fire Department protects one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country with a wide range of services, including emergency preparedness (EMO), fire prevention, education and investigations, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and fire response.

Internal Audit

City Auditor’s Office works to keep Fort Worth government effective, efficient, and accountable through independent assessment of operations and business practices. Compliance information is provided through Annual Audit Plans, Audit Reports, Peer Review and the Audit Committee.

Information Technology Solutions (ITS)

ITS provides information technology services with innovative solutions to the City department's goals of providing quality services and data to City residents. This includes managing Radio Towers and Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Mainframe Applications, GIS Data and ESRI Maps.

Fort Worth Public Library

The Fort Worth Public Library is committed to building a community of learners, dreamers, and doers. The City libraries provide books, online digital media, community outreach, rental rooms, and much more.

Municipal Court

The Fort Worth Municipal Court is a court of record whose primary jurisdiction is fine-only, Class C misdemeanor criminal cases. We strive to provide equal protection and due process of law. Our primary goal is to do justice for all who appear in our court on behalf of our residents. The court also processes civil parking cases.

The Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Department strengthens communities by empowering residents with housing, community development and social services. Through collaborative efforts, we improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods with people-focused programs and strong partnerships.

Office of the Medical Director

The Office of the Medical Director (OMD) is tasked to provide medical direction and oversight for the Fort Worth Reginal EMS System.

Office of the Police Oversight Monitor

The Office is the designated community oversight agency empowered to act fairly and impartially, ensuring greater accountability of and public trust in Fort Worth law enforcement.
OPOM encourages community engagement, by providing documents, reports, surveys, and reporting processes.

The Park & Recreation Department maintains 311 parks / 16 Open Space (13,464 / 707 acres), & public spaces citywide, as well as provides recreational activities (sports, pools, tennis, trails, playgrounds, dog parks, forestry, fishing & fitness), community centers, & educational programming that makes Fort Worth a great place to live, work & play.

The Property Management Department consists of four divisions including Facilities Management, Fleet Services, General Services, and Real Estate. This includes utility administration, fleet fuel management, tax-foreclosed property, lease administration and real property.

Public Events Department

Fort Worth’s Public Events Department manages the operations of the downtown Fort Worth Convention Center, the Cultural District’s Will Rogers Memorial Center, and the Office of Outdoor Events. There are over 3 million visitors to Fort Worth each year through numerous diverse events.

Transportation & Public Works

The Transportation & Public Works Department maintains the City's surface streets, sidewalks program, parking management, pavement marking, traffic signals, traffic signs, rail crossings, storm water channels and other key infrastructure.

The water utility is responsible for providing drinking water, wastewater, and reclaimed water service that protects human health and the environment.
