Results from the survey will be used to help OPOM identify problem-solving measures related to FWPD policies, procedures, practices and training. OPOM will share survey results with the community during in-person and virtual engagements and online later this year.

Community groups and organizations interested in hosting in-person or virtual community engagements are encouraged to contact the Office of the Police Oversight Monitor by email or phone at 817-392-6535.

Background

Shortly after being formed in March 2020, OPOM launched perception surveys within the community and police department. Feedback received from the 2020 surveys helped drive community-police collaboration engagements, provide recommendations to city leaders on community oversight of FWPD and develop the new office.
