Street & Transportation Improvements

Cromwell Marine Creek Road will be widened to a four-lane divided road. 

The project scope includes:

  • Right-of-way acquisition
  • Drainage improvements
  • Pedestrian lanes
  • Street lights
  • New bridge over Marine Creek
  • Modifications to Marine Creek Parkway roundabout
  • Signalized intersections at Bob Hanger/Huffines Boulevard, Bowman Roberts Road, and Crystal Lake Drive

 

This project is in Council Districts 2 and 7.

 

June 2026 Project Update

AREA 1 (Boat club Rd. to Huffines/Bob Hanger Rd.): 

The westbound and eastbound lanes have been paved. The continued construction operations in this area include:

  • Final grading of the medians and parkway
  • Seeding and sodding the medians and parkway
  • Street light installation

 

AREA 2 (Huffines/Bob Hanger St. to Marine Creek): 

Sundt has completed the pavement removal and earthwork at Bob Hanger St., Crystal Lake Dr., and from Chesterfield Dr. to the

Marine Creek bridge. The pavement has been completed between Chesterfield Dr. and the Marine Creek bridge. The continued construction operations in the area include:

  • Machine paving from Longmont to Bob Hanger St. and the westbound main lanes, turn lanes and side streets
  • Concrete removal and grading at Neptune St.

 

AREA 3 (Marine Creek to Marine Creek Pkwy. Roundabout): 

Sundt continues constructing the interior circle of the roundabout truck apron. Reconstruction of the western approach island is the final phase. The roundabout is scheduled to be completed in August 2026.

  • One lane closures at the roundabout will be intermittent while final modifications are completed
  • Underground utilities and roadway embankment have been completed at Bay Lake Dr.
