This is a design only project for Meacham Boulevard from IH-35W to Blue Mound Road.
The project, in coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation, includes:
Widening Meacham to a five-lane roadway
Adding pedestrian railing and sidewalks over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) bridge.
Bike lanes
Street lights
Right-of-way acquisition
Drainage improvements
This project is in Council District 2.
The project currently is in the M&C construction approval process.
There are now federal/state funds in the amount of 29,560,000 for construction.
