Neighborhood Litter Stomp is a citywide volunteer litter cleanup hosted by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful each fall. The focus of the event is to encourage your neighbors to come together and host a cleanup event in your neighborhood!

If your neighborhood is looking good and free from litter and trash, we encourage you to pick up litter at a local park, school, or a waterway. It's easy to participate and Keep Fort Worth Beautiful provides clean up supplies for free.

Before the event: 

Step 1. Mark your calendar.

Neighborhood Litter Stomp is an annual fall event. Participate as an individual or organize a group.

Step 2. Choose your cleanup location.

Select a public area that is meaningful to you. Not sure where to start? Join KFWB at Trinity Park, Pavilion #4 (Get Directions).

Step 3. Register to participate.

Volunteer as an individual, a family or a group.

Step 4. Pick up your cleanup supplies.

Dates, times, and location details for cleanup supplies will be provided by email after registration.

On the day of the event:

Step 5. Pick up litter on October 17.

Clean up your selected area during the event. Can’t participate at that time? Email us at KFWB@fortworthtexas.gov.

Supply Pick Up Information

Keep Fort Worth Beautiful provides litter cleanup supplies to all registered volunteers.

Supply pickup will be at Business Assistance Center located at 1150 South Fwy, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.

  • Thursday, Oct. 15 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 16 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Equipment is available, upon request, to help any volunteers who are elderly or have mobility concerns/other disabilities.

Scrap Tire Collection Event

As part of its efforts to reduce illegal dumping, City of Fort Worth is also hosting a free scrap tire collection event for residents.

Tires found as roadside litter or old tires stored at home, you can bring them for proper disposal. All tires collected will be processed and converted into reusable rubber material. You do not need to be a Litter Stomp cleanup volunteer to participate.

Tire collection will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, located at 818 Missouri Ave.

Accepted items:

  • Tires from passenger vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles and SUVs).
  • Rubber tires from small vehicles/equipment (bicycles, scooters, dollies, and lawnmowers).
  • Rims, preferably removed from tires.

Please make sure tires and rims are removed from dirt, water, oil, and paint. Tires from businesses, commercial vehicles, 18-wheelers, or tractors will not be accepted.

Neighborhood Litter Stomp focuses on our Fort Worth neighborhoods, encouraging residents to organize a cleanup event. Many neighborhoods take this opportunity to host a cook-out, provide games and other activities following the event!

What are the goals for this event?

Keep Fort Worth Beautiful works to ensure our city is a clean, green, and beautiful place to live. No one individual can do this alone. It takes all of us. This is why we invite people like you to participate in our activities and support our programs.

The heart of KFWB is our volunteers. Neighborhood Litter Stomp allows thousands of volunteers to combine efforts in one day and remove litter all across our city!

Who can participate?

Everyone! Residents, community organizations, businesses, individuals, non-profit groups, governmental agencies, and scout troops all are welcome to participate in this event.

What ages can participate?

Youth, teens, and adults are welcome to participate.

What is the cost to participate?

There is no cost to participate. KFWB provides gloves and trash bags to all registered participants while supplies last.

Can volunteers choose a location to clean up?

Yes! Volunteers are encouraged to choose a location that is important to them. Choose any public space in Fort Worth - streets, creeks and other waterways, parks, etc. KFWB also has a hub location available if you are not sure where to start.

What do I do with the litter that was collected?

If possible, take litter and full bags to the nearest Drop-Off Station. Free vouchers will be provided upon request.

If you cannot transport your litter and full bags, schedule a pick-up with our collection crews. First, place all bagged litter and other bulky items together in as few piles as possible. Then, contact the 311 Fort Worth Contact Center at 817-392-1234 or email 1234@fortworthtexas.gov. 

You can also use the MyFW App and submit a pickup request direct from your mobile phone. Please provide specific location details of your bagged litter pile (street names, block numbers, landmarks, etc). Photos can be uploaded and are helpful to our collection crews so that no bags or other bulky items are missed.
