Deputies, dogs, and a whole lot of love at FWACC

“He’s your spirit animal!” joked one of the Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies as they watched Hulk, a lovable English bulldog, prance into the outdoor play yard at the Silcox Adoption Center. The deputies spent their morning at the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control south shelter, offering some extra fun and attention to the shelter pets.
Four deputies took time off from their regular duties to lend a hand to our animal community. They arrived early in the morning, ready to play and bond with the furry residents at Silcox. Their mission that day was to help the animals find their forever homes through some heartwarming playtime and a memorable photoshoot.
“We’re here to help these pets get adopted and find the loving homes they deserve,” said Marisa Williams, a representative from the Sheriff’s Office.
As they tossed balls and captured the perfect photos, the dogs responded by barking, wagging their tails, rolling onto their backs to beg for more belly rubs, and even showering the deputies with slobbery kisses.
The morning fun wasn’t just for entertainment though, it was about raising awareness for animals in need. The Sheriff’s Office shared the photos on their social media, showcasing each dog’s unique personality and charm. By the end of the week, three of our lovable pups had found their forever homes.
The deputies’ thoughtful gesture serves as a reminder that sometimes, a little extra love and attention can make all the difference for an animal waiting for their perfect match.
