1,000 Pets Await at Fort Worth’s MEGA Adoption Event This Weekend

This weekend, Fort Worth Animal Care & Control is calling all families, pet lovers, and first-time adopters to one of the biggest adoption opportunities of the year, the MEGA Adoption Event.

Happening at the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall (3400 Burnett-Tandy Drive), this two-day event will unite more than 20 animal shelters and rescue groups from across the region, all under one roof, offering over 1,000 adoptable pets. You can find dozens of FWACC shelter pets of all breeds and sizes.

Event Hours:

Saturday, August 16 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, August 17 - 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

FWACC will be there with dozens of affectionate, well-mannered pets eager for a second chance. Our shelters have been especially full this summer, and now is the time for the community to step up and help these animals find the loving homes they deserve.

Adopters will also have the chance to take part in our “Spin the Wheel” giveaway with prizes including a DNA/Breed ID Kit, Dog Food and Water Bowl Set, Pet Training Kit, Pet First Aid Kit, and Grooming Kit. Plus, every pet will leave with a Welcome Home Kit stocked with food and other essentials to help them settle in comfortably.
