Fort Worth Public Library's 125th Anniversary

Two black and white photos frame a green logo for the Fort Worth Public Library's 125th anniversary.

Deeply Rooted. Always Growing.

The idea was born in 1892 when a handful of visionary women sought to open Fort Worth's first library. Nine years later, the doors of the Carnegie Public Library swung open in October 1901. Since then, the Fort Worth Public Library has stood as a living testament to the enduring power of community and the quiet strength of shared knowledge. Today, we continue to provide services, resources and experiences that are meaningful, accessible and free for all Fort Worth residents.
