Fort Worth’s own Tatiana “LadyMay” Mayfield will be featured in the July installment of the 2021 3rd Thursday Jazz Concert Series with a virtual concert at 6:30 p.m. July 15, available on the Fort Worth Public Library’s YouTube channel.

The performance will feature selections of Mayfield’s original music.

Refreshing and beautiful are how many have described the voice and persona of Tatiana “LadyMay” Mayfield, a jazz vocalist, musician, composer and educator. She has been singing and playing jazz music since age 13. Years later, she has earned a Jazz Studies degree from UNT, recorded three jazz albums and garnered accolades across the country for her performances. She sings, plays piano and trombone, composes music and teaches voice and music theory.

In August, 3rd Thursday Jazz transitions back into live, in-person music with an outdoor concert at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Fort Worth Public Library-East Regional featuring the East Fort Worth Community Jazz Band.

The concert series is possible thanks to support from the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation.
