Published on May 31, 2022

Oceans of Possibilities

Starting on Wednesday, June 1, the Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge is back with fun and engaging ways to learn, dream and do! Participate in the challenge all summer long to earn digital badges, great prizes and to experience fun activities at your Library!

Jump in with Beanstack
Sign up your entire family or as an individual to find book suggestions, track reading time and to discover challenging activities around the city. It’s easy to get started! Download the Beanstack app to your Apple or Android mobile device or start an account on a computer. Sign up for the challenge to get the ball rolling!

Every minute counts!
When you are read to or are reading, those minutes count. Families are invited to visit regular story times all summer to enjoy songs, stories and crafts. Some story times will feature special guest readers. Log your reading minutes via Beanstack and watch the time add up to rewards.

Experience the possibilities
There are fun activities in Beanstack and on our calendar for all ages to enjoy, and many count toward earning rewards in the Mayor’s Summer Reading Challange. Search the Fort Worth Fun Finder to discover things that interest you and experience all the Library has to offer.

Realize a cool prize
Participants who have earned any combination of eight badges on Beanstack by completing activities and tracking their reading may visit any Fort Worth Public Library location to pick up a fun prize for their accomplishments. The challenge runs until Aug. 27.
