Fun facts

On September 9, 2000, the City Council approved the acquisition of 4.0 acres for parkland in The Crossings at Fossil Addition. In November 2002, the Park Department reached an agreement with the adjacent property developer regarding park dedication requirements for a proposed multi-family development, Iron Wood Crossing. The agreement called for an addition of four acres of open space to abut the Crossing at Fossil Creek Park that will remain private parkland maintained by the developer but allowing public access. This created 8.0 acres of open space.
