Fun facts

On July 21, 2009, the City Council accepted the dedication of approximately 14.3 acres of parkland and facility improvements from D.R. Horton-Texas, Ltd., for the creation of Dorado Park in accordance with the Neighborhood and Community Park Designation Policy. The developer also completed amenities that included a masonry park name sign, a playground, picnic pavilion with three picnic tables, two benches, approximately 2,710 linear feet of trail and additional ten benches and six picnic tables along the trail, and a practice soccer field with goals at a cost of $212,636.12
