The Sonidos Del Summer concert series is returning to the Historic Northside this summer, promising plenty of music and family-friendly fun for the community.

Three free events are scheduled throughout the summer at Marine Park, 303 N.W. 20th St.

  • The final event of the summer, on Saturday, Sept. 13, encourages the neighborhood to “bidi bidi back to the park” for a night of Cumbia, featuring the Tejano Queen Forever tribute band and Chris Perez.

For each event, the festival market featuring vendors and food trucks opens at 5 p.m., followed by the first performance at 6 p.m. and the headliner at 8 p.m.

Participants are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs, but no alcohol or glass containers are allowed.
