City Council preview for Nov. 8

The Fort Worth City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Texas St.

  • The Council will vote on a resolution supporting construction of a digital dome at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
  • The Council will vote on accepting $50,000 from the Amon G. Carter Foundation for The Hub, a proposed new multipurpose community center to be located in the 5100 block of Avenue G in the Stop Six Neighborhood.
  • A proposed ordinance would restrict possessing open containers of alcoholic beverages in the West Seventh entertainment area.
  • Another ordinance would add a Community Police Policy Advisory Board.
  • The Council will vote on extending Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone 4 (Near Southside) and splitting incremental revenue to allow projects currently planned to reach completion.
  • There are 16 zoning cases on the agenda.
