The West Seventh Street project is now substantially complete.
The status: All lanes have reopened but motorists may still encounter brief single-lane closures as the contractor continues to work on final punch-list items that are expected to be completed by Jan. 13.
There are no significant traffic impacts expected with the completion of the remaining contract items.
Why it matters: This project provides a road in a heavily traveled part of the city that balances the needs of the vehicle user, transit user, pedestrian, bicycle user and others. West Seventh Street connects two significant districts: the western boundary of downtown Fort Worth and three museums in the Cultural District with increasing numbers of housing, retail and restaurants.
