Nonprofits can apply for program funding to reduce crime

Would you like to help Fort Worth become a safer city? The Fort Worth Police Department seeks nonprofit agencies to apply for program grants that reduce crime and increase safety.

Funding comes from the Crime Control and Prevention District for agencies that meet at least one of these goals:

  • Reduce violent crime.
  • Reduce gang-related activities.
  • Increase safety in neighborhoods.
  • Decrease crime in neighborhoods.
  • Increase the safety of youth.
  • Reduce juvenile crime.

Agencies must submit a concept paper to apply. The open period to submit a concept paper runs through Nov. 30.
