This project, led by Denton County, includes includes constructing new left turn lanes for the northbound and southbound approaches and traffic signals.

Updates at the intersection of Hwy 114 and Championship Parkway include:

Pedestrian curb ramps
ADA certified ramps
New signage
Road Striping
And utility adjustments as needed.

This project is located in Council District 10.

May 2026 Project Update

The new traffic signals are completed for the start of the NASCAR season in May.
The intersection improvements with the traffic signals, right-turn lane, ADA ramps, pavement markings, and extension of Championship Pkwy to Victory Circle, are completed.
The County expects to do final inspections by the end of May 2026.
