Street & Transportation Improvements

The project provides for the design of street and utility improvements in the Bluebonnet and Carter Park Areas. 

The streets currently scheduled for rehabilitation include: 

  • Evans Avenue from E Felix Street to E Seminary Drive
  • E Beddell Street from east of Evans Ave. to I-35W Frontage Road
  • E Gambrell from Cole Street to I-35W Frontage Road
  • E Hammond Street from Cole Street to I-35W Frontage Road
  • E Spurgeon Street from Evans Avenue to I-35 W Frontage Road
  • E Felix Street from east of Evans Ave. to I-35W Frontage Road
  • I-35W Frontage Road from E Felix Street to E Bedell Street
  • Benbrook Boulevard from Rogers Avenue to Granbury Road
  • Park Ridge Boulevard from Bluebonnet Circle to Benbrook Boulevard
  • Cockrell Avenue from Park Ridge Boulevard to Benbrook Boulevard

 

 

This project is located in Council District 9.

 

June 2026 Project Update 

  • Construction is underway
  • Waterline installation is finished on Cockrell Avenue.
  • Next, workers will finish installing water meters on Cockrell Avenue (Park Ridge Boulevard to Benbrook Boulevard)
