Cantrell Sansom Road

Cantrell Sansom Road will be widened between Mark IV Parkway and the future IH-35W southbound frontage road.

Widening will make way for the addition of two westbound and two eastbound lanes.

This project is located in Council District 2.

The contractor is paving the section from Old Denton Road to the IH35W frontage road. This will continue through June 2026.

Old Denton Road will open soon at Cantrell Sansom Road, the expected date is May 14. After Old Denton Road opens to traffic, Cantrell Sansom will close from Mark IV Parkway to Old Denton Road.
Detours will be set up to use Mark IV Parkway and IH35W Southbound Frontage Road. Please utilize all detours and avoid the construction zone. Contractor expects to be opening pavement in all directions by September 2026.
