Street & Transportation Improvements

The Transportation and Public Works Department will be using PayGo funding to improve streets in the Handley area. 

The project involves heavy maintenance, including asphalt resurfacing, recycling, milling, and overlaying. Only damaged curb and gutter, driveways, and non-compliant curb ramps will be replaced.

 

Streets include:

• Acapulco Road from Hitson Lane to Escalante Avenue

• Beckwood Drive from Hitson Lane to Patino Road

• Bermejo Road from Hitson Lane to Cooks Lane

• Castillo Road from Hitson Lane to Escalante Avenue

• Craig Court from North Cul-De-Sac to Craig Street

• Craig Street from Hitson Lane to Patino Road

• Escalante Avenue from Meadowbrook Drive to South Dead End

• Friarford Road from Portman Avenue to Kingsmill Terrace

• Jason Court from North Cul-De-Sac to Craig Street

• Kell Drive from Hitson Lane to Tiki Trail

• Kingsmill Terrace from Friarford Road to Patino Road

• Meadowcrest Drive from Hitson Lane to Friarford Road

• Patino Road from Beckwood Drive to Craig Street

• Patino Road from Acapulco Road to Castillo Road

• Portman Avenue from Friarford Road to Escalante Avenue

• Tiki Trail from Lisa Court to Craig Street

• Tommy Street from Kell Drive to Craig Street

• Woodfield Road from Friarford Road to Patino Road

 

This project is located in Council District 5.

  

January 2026 Project Status Update

The construction is expected to start soon and be completed by July 2026.
