Construction of new four-lane divided roadway including shared use paths, street lighting and stormwater drainage.

Construction of two new lanes and complete reconstruction of existing lanes, creating an upgraded four lane Arterial between the BNSF yard entrances ion the west and Old Blue mound Road on the East end of the project.

This will allow for connectivity with adjacent entrances to be maintained and single lane each direction will be maintained throughout the project duration.

This project is in Council District 10.

February 2026 Project Update

Construction started late in January 2025. Numerous delays occurred due to underground utility conflicts that needed relocation.
Traffic pattern is shifted to use new lanes.
Crews are doing removal and construction of southbound lanes through March 2026.
