This project includes improvements at the Marine Creek Parkway and IH-820 intersection.

The project has two (2) phases.

Phase one (1) includes:

• Installation of an eastbound U-turn lane
• Construction of ten (10) foot hike & bike trails on the east side of Marine Creek to connect to a future Park and Recreation project.
• This phase is entirely funded with the City’s funds

Phase two (2) includes:

• Installation of northbound and southbound left-turn lanes into the existing diamond interchange.
• This phase is funded with the City’s funds and Federal funds- Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)

This project is located in Council District 2.

October 2025 Project Update

• Phase 2 - The city has received the State Letter of Authority (SLOA) and Federal Project Authorization and Agreement (FPAA) to advertise the project from TxDOT.
