• Widening Meacham to a five-lane roadway 

• Adding pedestrian railing and sidewalks over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) bridge. 

• Bike lanes

• Street lights

• Right-of-way acquisition

• Drainage improvements

This project is in Council District 2.

March 2026 Project Status Update

• The project has received federal funding for construction and will be overseen by TxDOT.
• The 60% design plan is being developed.
• Construction is planned for the end of 2027.
