This project is part of TxDOT's Highway Safety Improvement Program at the intersection of Mitchell Boulevard and South Beach Street. 

Commuters have a right turn lane for northbound traffic, a left turn lane for southbound traffic, installation of a larger westbound right turn island along with updating the  pavement markings.

The intersection improvements included:

  • New traffic signal
  • Installing ADA certified ramps
  • Pedestrian crossings
  • Intersection safety lighting

 

This project is in Council District 8.
