The project includes building two new bridges over the future Panther Island Canal C.
One bridge will be on North Commerce Street and the other on Calhoun Street, between NE 4th and NE 5th Streets.
It will also improve the connecting roadways leading to and from the bridges within the project limits. This work is part of the Panther Island Vision 2.0 plan.
This project is in Council District 2.
The project is currently in final design plans.
Bridge construction will commence once Trinity River Water District completes the Canal C construction. Canal C is scheduled for completion in June 2027.
