South Hulen Asphalt Resurfacing Project

The Transportation and Public Works Department will be using PayGo funding to improve streets at South Hulen Street.

The project includes heavy maintenance of asphalt resurfacing using milling and overlay. Only damaged curb and gutter, driveways, and non-compliant curb ramps will be replaced.

Streets include:

S Hulen Street from Southwest Loop 820 to Bellaire Drive S
Bellaire Dr S from S Hulen Street to bridge start point (pavement change).

This project is located in Council Districts 3 & 6.

June 2026 Project Status

The construction is underway and is expected to be complete in September.
Asphalt resurfacing on the northbound lanes of South Hulen St is complete.
The asphalt milling on the southbound lanes has started and is expected to be completed by mid-June.
Next, asphalt resurfacing on the southbound lanes will be finished by the end of June.
