The Transportation and Public Works Department will be using PayGo funding to improve streets at McCart and James Avenue.

The project includes heavy maintenance of asphalt resurfacing using milling and overlay. Only damaged curb and gutter, driveways, and non-compliant curb ramps will be replaced.

Streets include:

James Avenue from Southwest Loop 820 to W Fuller Avenue
McCart Avenue, NB from Westcreek Drive to Pavement Change (500 feet south of South Park Lane)
McCart Avenue, SB from Westcreek Drive to Pavement Change (500 feet south of South Park Lane)

This project is located in Council Districts 6 & 9.

April 2026 Project Status

Asphalt resurfacing is ongoing on Beach St and is 90% complete.
The flatwork of replacing damaged curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway is ongoing on James Ave. This work is 60% complete.
