Water & Sanitary Sewer Imrpovements

Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced on streets and in alleys in an area bound by Elgin Street to the north, Carverly Drive to the east, Wiman Drive and East Berry Street to the south and Hatcher Street to the west.

 

The affected streets and easements include the following. 

 

Fort Worth Council District 5

  • Stalcup Road from Elgin Street to Ramey Avenue (water)
  • Booker T Street from Stalcup Road to Andrew Avenue (water and sewer)
  • Alley between Bong Drive and Capers Avenue from Farrell Lane to Stalcup Road (sewer)
  • Alley between Ramey Avenue and Lester Granger Street  from Farrell Lane to east 600 feet (sewer)
  • Rickenbacker Place from Stalcup Road to Farrell Lane (water)
  • Birdell Court from Carol Avenue to Ramey Avenue (water and sewer)

 

Fort Worth Council District 11 was included in the design phase of this project. The new project name for the Council District 11 project is the Reed Street and Hatcher Street Water and Sewer Improvements

The project area includes Dunbar High School, Dunbar Middle School, Sunrise McMillan Elementary School, Maudrie M. Walter Elementary School, MLK Community Center, Tarrant County College Opportunity Center Campus, Martin Luther King Park, Bunche Park and Marie F Pate Park.

 

Construction may impact customers in the Stop 6 Sunrise, Historic Rosedale Park and Historic Stop 6 neighborhood association areas.

Project Meeting

Fort Worth Water and Transportation and Public Works acccepted an invitation to the Saturday, August 5, 2023, Historic Rosedale neighborhood association meeting. The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center located at 5565  Truman Drive. 

 

This project is in Fort Worth Council District 5 and Fort Worth Council District 11. Construction will impact the Stop 6 Sunrise, Historic Rosedale Park and Historic Stop 6 neighborhood association areas.

 

The two Fort Worth Water projects that have segments in Council District 5/Historic Rosedale Park include Stop 6 and Historic Rosedale Water and Sewer Improvements, and Historic Rosedale, Stop 6 and Echo Heights Water and Sewer Improvements.
