TCU Area Water and Sewer Improvements

This Fort Worth Water capital improvement project will replace existing water and sanitary sewer mains in the Texas Christian University area. The project area is bound by West Bowie Street to the north, Cleburne Road and Gordon Avenue to the east, Benbrook Boulevard to the south and Stadium Drive to the west.

Landmarks include TCU, Trinity Episcopal Church, Paschal High School, restaurants, businesses and hotels.

Cast iron water mains will be replaced in 16 streets or easements. Sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in 13 streets or easements. 

Fort Worth Council District 3 and Council District 9

• Stadium  Drive from Bellaire Drive North to West Berry Street (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Benbrook Boulevard from Stadium Drive to Rogers Avenue (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Wabash Avenue from West Berry Street to Benbrook Boulevard (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Rogers Avenue from Benbrook Boulevard to  Bellaire Drive North  (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• South University Drive from Bowie Street to the south 1,100 feet (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Bellaire Drive from 107 feet east of the Rogers Avenue/Bellaire Drive intersection  to 120 feet east, then 270 feet northeasterly (sewer)

Council District 9

• Odessa Avenue from West Berry Street to Benbrook Boulevard  (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Cockrell Avenue from West Berry Street to West Devitt Street (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Greene Avenue from West Berry Street to West Bowie Street (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Devitt Street from  170 feet west of the Greene Avenue/Devitt Street Intersection, then east 340 feet  (sewer)
• Waits Avenue from West Berry Street to West Devitt Street (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Lubbock Avenue from  Bowie Street to Benbrook Boulevard – (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Merida Avenue from Bowie Street to W. Berry Street (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Sandage Avenue from Bowie Street to W. Berry Street  (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• McCart Avenue from Bowie Street to Benbrook Boulevard  - (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Benbrook Drive from W. Devitt Street to Forest Park Boulevard (sewer)
• Frazier Avenue from W. Devitt Street to W. Berry Street - (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• W. Berry Street from Wayside Avenue to Gordon Avenue - (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Forest Park Boulevard from W. Berry Street to Benbrook Drive -  (cast iron water main will be replaced

• Easement between Odessa Avenue and Wabash Avenue from West Berry Street to the south 220 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Wabash Avenue and Rogers Avenue from Benbrook  Boulevard then north 210 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Wabash Avenue and Rogers Avenue from West Berry Street, then to the south 370 feet (sewer)
• Easement north of Benbrook Boulevard from 300 feet north of the Lubbock Avenue/Benbrook Boulevard intersection, then west 400 feet (sewer)
• Easement between Cockrell Avenue and Greene Avenue from Bowie Street to Benbrook Boulevard – (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Easement between Greene Avenue and Waits Avenue from West Berry Street to Benbrook Boulevard – (cast iron water main will be replaced)
• Easement between Lubbock Avenue and Merida Avenue from W. Devitt Street to Benbrook Boulevard (sewer)
• Easement between Merida Avenue and Sandage Avenue from W. Devitt Street to Benbrook Boulevard (sewer)
• Easement south of Bowie Street from 80 feet south of the McCart Avenue/Bowie Street intersection then east 150 feet then south 100 feet  (sewer)
• Easement west of Forest Park Boulevard from W. Devitt Street to Benbrook Drive (sewer)

Construction may impact the Bluebonnet Hills, Frisco Heights, and Paschal neighborhood associations.
