The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department’s scope for this project includes the development of a master plan for the newly acquired parkland. This process involved community meetings and public input to identify amenity priorities. Through the master planning and prioritization process, the community expressed a preference for limited active amenities, with a stronger emphasis on casual family gathering spaces and child-focused play elements. The first phase of design implementation includes construction of a playground and the initial segments of the trail network, which will be completed in subsequent phases. Construction for this phase is anticipated to begin before spring 2026.
