Mobile Tool Shed Expands With Pressure Washers, Yard Carts
Published on August 07, 2025
Fort Worth’s Mobile Tool Shed is growing, and so are the ways it’s helping residents care for their homes.
Since its launch in March, the Mobile Tool Shed has provided free access to lawn and property maintenance equipment. This includes lawn mowers, weed eaters, and blowers, all conveniently delivered right to residents’ doors. Now, the program is expanding with two major additions!
Pressure Washers Now Available for Free Use
Homeowners can now check out pressure washers through the Mobile Tool Shed. These high-demand tools are great for cleaning siding, driveways, patios, and more. A job like this can typically cost between $500 and $1,500 when done professionally. With this new addition, residents can take on projects themselves and save a significant amount of money.
96-Gallon Green Yard Carts Available for Temporary Use
Also new to the lineup are 96-gallon green yard carts. These sturdy, reusable containers function like large yard bags but are more sustainable and easier to use. Residents usually purchase these carts from the City for $75. Now, they can borrow one for free, set it out on their regular yard waste collection day, and return it after use at no cost.
By helping residents handle their own yard work and home upkeep, the Mobile Tool Shed plays a key role in preventing code violations. This also helps the City avoid costly abatements, saving money and resources for both residents and the community.
Both additions support Code Compliance’s mission to make property maintenance easier, more affordable, and more accessible for everyone.
The Mobile Tool Shed is currently available in three Fort Worth neighborhoods: Worth Heights, Seminary, and Fairhaven. As the program continues to grow, so will its impact by helping more residents take pride in their homes and neighborhoods.
