We offer tuition assistance for short-term certification and job training programs in Tarrant County. Our goal is to empower you with the skills and training you need to land a great job and become financially independent. Case management support to help you achieve financial stability and independence.

EnCAP Case Management focuses on proactively addressing some of the root causes of poverty by developing a networking program that provides job training to low-income individuals of all ages and experience levels, which will lead to higher employment and stronger, more sustainable communities. 

No out-of-pocket expenses for those enrolled as case management clients!

Programs

  • Avionic maintenance
  • Automotive repair
  • Beauty school
  •  Commercial driver
  • Culinary skills
  • Composite bonding
  • Computer systems
  • Forklift driving
  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Manufacturing Skills Service Center (MSSC) safety training
  • Medical assistant including CPR/EKG certification
  • Office careers
  • Occupational Safety and Health
  • Administration (OSHA) training
  • Paralegal
  • Pharmacy tech
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Security installation
  • Welding and more! 

Classes are offered through partnerships with Tarrant County College, Goodwill Industries Community Enrichment Center, University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and other organizations.

Additionally, EnCAP will fund tuition, books, uniforms and other supplies for short-term certifications and training for in-demand jobs.

Depending upon the number of requests, funding for some programs may be limited or unavailable.

Tuition covered

We empower individuals through guided case management support and tuition assistance to gain skills, earn credentials, and achieve long-term financial stability.

Assistance can help cover tuition costs for:

  • Workforce training
  • Short-term certifications
  • High school equivalency completion
  • Apprenticeships
  • Literacy education
  • ESL programs

Enrolled clients may also be eligible to receive assistance with:

  • Books and supplies
  • Uniforms and clothing
  • Laptops
  • Tools and equipment
  • Rent and utility assistance
  • Transportation

Eligibility

 

We want to help our neighbors in Tarrant County succeed. That's why we help cover the costs of short-term job training and certification programs. Let us help you take the next step in your career and achieve financial independence.

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and reside in Tarrant County
  •  Meet specific income eligibility guidelines including documentation of all household income.
  • Provide required documentation including ID, paystubs for the past 30 days, proof of ability to work in the U.S.


What will be expected of me?

  • To obtain support, applicants must work with a CAP Caseworker to monitor their progress toward the completion of training or certification to secure and maintain employment.
