Avondale Haslet Road Improvements

This project is funded by the City of Fort Worth and the Tarrant County Commissioners Court through the Tarrant County 2021 Transportation Bond Program.

A two-mile portion of Avondale Haslet Road will be reconstructed from two lanes to four-lanes. This improvement will reduce congestion and improve mobility.

The two-miles run from Willow Creek Drive to the Fort Worth city limits east.

As part of this roadway enhancement, the project includes:

• New curb and gutters
• Storm water drainage 
• New 10-foot pedestrian and bike lane 

This project is located in Council District 10.

July 2024 Project Update

• Design is in the final stage
• Right of Way Acquisition is in final stages
• Utility Relocation will begin in Late Summer.
• Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2025, a public meeting will be held prior to any road construction.
