Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Oak Grove Road and SE Loop 820 to the north, Oak Grove Road West to the east, Glasgow Road to the south and I-35W South Freeway and SE Loop 820 to the west.

Landmarks include Highland Hills Baptist Church and East St Paul Baptist Church.

Cast iron water mains will be replaced in:

Savage Drive
Conroy Street
Hensley Drive
Whitten Street
Bandy Avenue
Mansel Lane
Roma Lane

Water Mains and Sewer Mains will be replaced in:

Savage Drive from 140 feet northwest of Conroy Street to Oak Grove Road West
Conroy Street from Hensley Drive to Glasgow Road
Hensley Drive from Oak Grove Road to Glasgow Road
Whitten Street from Oak Grove Road to Glasgow Road
Bandy Avenue from Oak Grove Road to Glasgow Road
Mansel Lane from Oak Grove Road to Glasgow Road
Roma Lane from Savage Drive to Oak Grove Road

The Sewer Main will be replaced in:

Oak Grove Road from Whitten Street to 200 feet northwest of Hensley Drive

The sewer main replacements are part of the Fort Worth Water Department’s Sanitary Sewer Overflow Initiative program. Cast Iron Water Main Replacements are part of the Cast Iron Pipe Initiative to reduce the amount of water main breaks. Fort Worth Water has committed to replacing a minimum of 20 miles of cast iron pipe every year.

The design Open House for the three capital improvement projects is Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Highland Hills Community Center, 1600 Glasgow Road.
