Street & Transportation Improvements

The project will raise and remove the roadway from the floodplain at the creek crossing, and will widen it to a four-lane divided road from Quicksilver Trail to Coneflower Trail.

 

Additional features include:

  • Bike and pedestrian paths
  • New streetlights
  • New drainage systems
  • New curbs and gutters

Flood improvements are planned for two stream crossings that include raising the roadway to mitigate future flooding.

 

This project is located in Council Districts 7 and 10.

 

February 2026 Project Update

  • The city has completed review of the revised 70% complete design plans.
  • Next, the Design-Build team will provide a construction cost and schedule for the city to consider.
  •  Once the final design plans are approved, the contract would be altered to reflect those updates prior to construction.
  • A second community meeting is expected in late April or May and more details to come. 
  • Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026.
