The project will raise and remove the roadway from the floodplain at the creek crossing, and will widen it to a four-lane divided road from Quicksilver Trail to Coneflower Trail.

Additional features include:

• Bike and pedestrian paths
• New streetlights
• New drainage systems
• New curbs and gutters

Flood improvements are planned for two stream crossings that include raising the roadway to mitigate future flooding.

This project is located in Council Districts 7 and 10.

January 2026 Project Update

• The design-build team presented the city with the 70% complete design plans for review last fall.

• The project team reviewed and made changes to that plan and those revised plans are currently under review.  
• Once the final design plans are approved, the contract would be altered to reflect those updates prior to construction.
• Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026.
