Important Budget, Tax Rate and Public Hearing Information

Solid waste and environmental fees are effective Oct. 1, and water and stormwater rate increases go into effect Jan. 1.
Due to scheduling conflicts, all City Council meetings planned for Nov. 3 are canceled.
The heaviest rain arrives Wednesday night into Thursday morning, right during the Thursday commute. Fort Worth is at Level 3 of 4 for flash flooding both Wednesday and Thursday.
On September 15, Fort Worth City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2027 budget.
CITY OF FORT WORTH ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 4.01 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $21.54.
