Interfacility Transport Permitting Process

As part of the ongoing transition of EMS services from MedStar to the Fort Worth Fire Department, MedStar will be gradually phasing out its Interfacility Transport (IFT) operations. The new Fort Worth Fire Department EMS will not provide routine or scheduled non-emergency interfacility transport services. Instead, these services will be handled by private ambulance providers permitted by the City of Fort Worth.
