Approximately 14,972 linear feet of cast iron water and 5,975 linear feet of deteriorated sanitary sewer pipe will be removed and replaced as part of this project. The storm drain component of this project will repair a portion of the existing storm drain system, which requires rehabilitation to ensure continued drainage system performance and improve future maintenance of the system.

The proposed storm drain improvements on the Fort Worth Water Department's Caylor Water Storage site will alleviate a flooding problem on private property that is adjacent to the tank site.

The contractor will do rehabilitation - curb to curb - or asphalt pavement on all of the roadways in this project that had water and sewer mains replaced.

Project area landmarks include W.C. Stripling Middle School, South Hi Mount Elementary School, Thomas Place Community Center, Fort Worth Fire Station #18 and, Wright-Tarlton Park.

Construction will impact the West Side Alliance and the Arlington Heights neighborhood association.
