Garbage & Recycling

Thank you for your patience during last week's winter weather. Here are the latest updates on Garbage and Recycling.

  • Normal garbage and recycling collections will resume Monday, February 6.
  • All residents can set out up to four additional bags of garbage the week of Feb. 6 – 10.
  • On your scheduled collection day, regular collection trucks will pick up items in carts, and a separate collection truck will pick up the four additional bags. Separate collections can happen before or after regular pickup.
  • Drop-off stations are open for residents who choose to drop off their garbage.
    • M-F 8 a.m. – 6 p.m and Sat 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Yard Waste pickup will resume Monday, February 13.

Over the next few weeks, Code Compliance will work with residents and commercial enterprises to resolve collection issues. Code will temporarily suspend enforcement of bagged garbage outside of carts, dumpsters and other receptacles until collection routes are caught up.

Solid Waste Services provides residents with garbage, recycling, bulk and yard waste curbside collections. Additional waste reduction services include the Drop-Off Stations, Environmental Collection Center, food composting, paper shredding, Styrofoam collection and litter programs through Keep Fort Worth Beautiful.
