Our mission is to educate and engage Fort Worth residents and businesses to take responsibility for improving their community environment. We encourage our residents, businesses and visitors to become a volunteer to help prevent litter and make a difference in our community - all ages and abilities welcome!

Address environmental contamination and hazards on properties within Fort Worth.

Monitoring water quality in urban lakes, rivers, neighborhood creeks, and storm drains.

Gardening for Bees

Join the Fort Worth Water Department and the Tarrant Regional Water District to learn simple ways to make your garden a welcoming space for bees and other pollinators.

Special Event Litter Cleanups

Join us for  special litter cleanup events in the Far Greater Northside Historical neighborhood and Eugene McCray Park at Lake Arlington! Cleanup supplies and water will be provided. Recruit your neighbors and friends to help clean up our community!

Bring Color to Your Garden

Join Fort Worth Public Library and Scott Force, president of Wedgwood Garden Club, to learn more about to how to bring color into your Texas landscape.

Earth Day Kindness Rock Painting

Celebrate Earth Day with the Fort Worth Public Library! Decorate your own kindness rock and place it around the garden to spread positivity and brighten someone’s day.

Family Nature Exploration

Explore wild places, close to home with Fort Worth Public Library! Learn about techniques and tools, such as the Library’s new Neighborhood Naturalist backpacks, that will help you create new family traditions and foster a love of the outdoors.

Spring Event - Earth Day Celebration

Seniors, join Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department to learn more about sustainable practices to save the Earth.

 

April 22  |  2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Earth Day Recycled Art

Learn how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle with the Fort Worth Public Library by turning items from our garden and other materials into works of art you can take home.

Earth Day Nature Journals

Learn how to record observations, make notes, and identify species in a nature journal with the Fort Worth Library!

Spring Trinity River Trash Bash

Join the Tarrant Regional Water District and thousands of volunteers to remove litter throughout your community and its local waterways.

 

 April 22 | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

 District 11 Earth Day Event

Come by Black Coffee for a free cup of coffee and safely dispose of household hazardous waste, tires, electronics, and shred old documents.
