Our mission is to educate and engage Fort Worth residents and businesses to take responsibility for improving their community environment. We encourage our residents, businesses and visitors to become a volunteer to help prevent litter and make a difference in our community - all ages and abilities welcome!

Volunteer-Led Cleanup Request free supplies and cleanup litter anywhere in Fort Worth.	Cowtown Great American Cleanup Join us for our largest cleanup event each Spring.	Neighborhood Litter Stomp Quickly becoming the Fall kickoff cleanup event of the year.

Adopt-A-Spot Care for your own special corner of Fort Worth.	School Green Teams Get students excited about being green.	Green Business Partners Show your customers you care by being a green business.

Litter Speakers Bureau Request a speaker for your next event.	Litter Summit Highlights private sector and community partnerships with KFWB.

Keep Fort Worth Beautiful supports many programs that help to reduce waste going to the landfill.


Residential Recycling Learn about how to recycle at home.	Commerical Recycling Explore options for reducing waste at businesses and organizations.	Drop-Off Stations Four locations around Fort Worth for convenient homeowner access.

Residential Composting Reduce waste to landfill by composting food scraps.	Special Events Recycling Explore options for reducing waste at your next event.	Environmental Collection Center Convenient center for residential waste disposal and recycling.

3. Environment & Sustainability

Environment & Sustainability

KFWB volunteers and supporters know that a healthy environment makes a healthy community.


Brownfields Aims to decrease blight, remove environmental contamination and reinvigorate redevelopment in the community.	Texas Stream Teams Engage in citizen science and monitor a stream near you.	Water Conservation Fort Worth Water Department conducts water saving educational classes, workshops, and events.

Land Quality Address environmental contamination and hazards on properties within Fort Worth.	Stormwater Quality Monitoring water quality in urban lakes, rivers, neighborhood creeks, and storm drains.	Air Quality Working to improve our city's health and well-being with regards to the air that we breathe.

April 9 \| 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Gardening for Bees Join the Fort Worth Water Department and the Tarrant Regional Water District to learn simple ways to make your garden a welcoming space for bees and other pollinators.	April 11 & 18 \| 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. Special Event Litter Cleanup s Join us for special litter cleanup events in the Far Greater Northside Historical neighborhood and Eugene McCray Park at Lake Arlington! Cleanup supplies and water will be provided. Recruit your neighbors and friends to help clean up our community!	April 11 \| 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Bring Color to Your Garden Join Fort Worth Public Library and Scott Force, president of Wedgwood Garden Club, to learn more about to how to bring color into your Texas landscape.

April 17 \| 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Earth Day Bracelets Join Fort Worth Public Library and learn how you can help save the planet by making jewelry out of water bottles!	April 20 \| 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Earth Day Kindness Rock Painting Celebrate Earth Day with the Fort Worth Public Library! Decorate your own kindness rock and place it around the garden to spread positivity and brighten someone’s day.	April 21 & 28 \| 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Family Nature Exploration Explore wild places, close to home with Fort Worth Public Library! Learn about techniques and tools, such as the Library’s new Neighborhood Naturalist backpacks, that will help you create new family traditions and foster a love of the outdoors.

April 22 \| 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Spring Event - Earth Day Celebration Seniors, join Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department to learn more about sustainable practices to save the Earth.	April 22 \| 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Earth Day Recycled Art Learn how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle with the Fort Worth Public Library by turning items from our garden and other materials into works of art you can take home.	April 22 \| 5 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. Earth Day Nature Journals Learn how to record observations, make notes, and identify species in a nature journal with the Fort Worth Library!

Partner Events

April 18 \| 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Spring Trinity River Trash Bash Join the Tarrant Regional Water District and thousands of volunteers to remove litter throughout your community and its local waterways.		April 22 \| 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. District 11 Earth Day Event Come by Black Coffee for a free cup of coffee and safely dispose of household hazardous waste, tires, electronics, and shred old documents.
