Public Safety Notice—Emergency Alerts Update

The City of Fort Worth’s Office of Emergency Management is notifying the public that we have been advised by Crisis24, our emergency notification system vendor, they have suspended access to the legacy CodeRED alerting software as a precautionary measure following the detection of potential security vulnerabilities.

CDBG Disaster Recovery Grant

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provides HUD funding for long-term recovery from the 2021 Winter Storm in Fort Worth.

Community Action Partners

Connects residents with social services, such as utility bill payment assistance, senior resources, financial empowerment and employment resources.

Community Planning & Reporting

Oversees the planning and reporting of grant programs that fund community projects, such as neighborhood improvements, affordable housing and housing stability.

Consolidated Plan 2023-2027

A five-year strategy to set housing and community development priorities for HUD's CPD block grant programs.

EnVision Center of Fort Worth

A centralized hub for support in the areas of education, economic empowerment, character and leadership, and health and wellness.

Facade Improvement Program

Helps local businesses in eligible areas improve their curb appeal with the storefront and façade improvements.

Find Your Neighborhood

Get involved in your neighborhood - connect and identify neighborhood associations, school districts and crime prevention organizations.

Homebuyer Assistance Program

Provides up to $25,000 in mortgage assistance for income-eligible first-time homebuyers within the Fort Worth city limits.

Housing Finance Corporation

Helps finance the residential ownership and development of single-family and multifamily dwellings for low and moderate incomes.

Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS

Offers vital housing and support services, helping low-income individuals with secure stable housing.

Lead-Safe Program

Offers lead hazard reduction home repairs to ensure a safe, lead-free environment for children and residents of Fort Worth

Neighborhood Empowerment Zones (NEZs)

Promote development, revitalization and investment in underserved neighborhoods through targeted policies and incentives.

Neighborhood Improvement Program

Prioritizes neighborhood revitalization and infrastructure improvements to attract investors, enhance livability, and elevate the quality of life for Fort Worth residents.

Priority Repair Program

Provides critical emergency and mechanical system repairs to Fort Worth homeowners in need, ensuring safe and livable conditions.

PRO-Housing

Fort Worth received a $5 million PRO-Housing (Pathways to
Reducing Obstacles to Affordable Housing) grant to develop housing policy plans, improve strategies and facilitate affordable housing production and preservation.

Public Service Agencies

Public Service Agencies (PSAs) are nonprofit organizations that provide essential social services to vulnerable populations, especially those with lower incomes.

Texas Opioid Settlement Funds

Distributes settlement money from opioid-related lawsuits to support addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across the state.

Veteran Services

We honor our veterans by providing essential support, including resources, job training and housing to help them transition to civilian life and enhance their well-being.

Weatherization Program

The Weatherization Assistance Program enhances energy efficiency for income-eligible households in Tarrant County.

Department Leadership

Kacey Thomas

Neighborhood Services Director

Kacey Thomas has over a decade of dedicated service with the City of Fort Worth. Her most recent position as the Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department highlights her proficiency in administrative leadership.

Prior to this role, Thomas held pivotal positions in Park & Recreation as the Senior Administrative Services Manager and in Fire as the Administrative Services Manager. Her tenure with the City commenced in Budget as a Budget Analyst.

Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in business from UT Austin and a master’s degree in public administration from UT Arlington. She’s also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
